Gunfighters of the Old West

The  Gunfighter was often mistaken for an
outlaw.  This was not always true.  He was
mostly a law-abiding man who was just
naturally coordinated and had a great aim.
Or great hand-eye coordination.
He got the reputation of being a gunfighter
after about the third gunfight he was in.
They never hunted trouble, nor wanted it,
trouble usually came to him by some
greenhorn who wanted to prove himself
as a gunfighter, or be known to kill
a known gunfighter.  In those days,
a man did not back down from trouble,
he faced it no matter what the consequences,
or he was titled a coward.
